Luke's Mobile

No, Luke didn't get a cell phone- Luke is now mobile- as in, he is crawling. He came to my office today and when I put him on the floor in my boss's office, he crawled. Repeat performance about 20 min later when mom was around.
The girls took the motivation of food, Cheetos if I recall correctly, but look only took a shiny pen.

So those of you who voted in the poll to the left, well, too late now and we were all wrong. No one had voted for Wed.

Pictures, perhaps video of the crawler coming soon.

Regional Santa's & Luke's Forward Motion

Ashley and I were having breakfast the other morning (Nicole was still sleeping and Mom was taking care of Luke). I asked her what she was thinking about and her answer was, "Well, when I grow up, I don't know what I want to be, but Nicole is going to be Santa Claus. .... I know there is already a Santa Clause, but he can take care of all the far away people and Nicole can do all the close by people."

I think she is on to something there. Perhaps we can even extend the idea such that each town, or street- maybe even each house has their own Santa.

Oh, and feel free to place your bet on which day Luke will be crawling in the poll to the left. He has made forward progress but mostly by doing a push up and collapsing forward again and again. For the sake of the poll an official "crawl" consists of forward motion using his arms - while not crying. Scouts honor on which you vote for as it is all anonymous.

Perspective

We are enjoying some peaceful snowfalls recently. This morning we were outside finishing up the driveway and Nicole looked down the street to see someone using a snowblower (takes all the fun out if it if you ask me). She said "LOOK! Sprinkler!" Don't think it would be as much fun to run through as the neighbors sprinkler in August, but fun to see how a kids mind works.
Then Ashley looked down the street the other way, laughed and said "She's using a spatula to clean the snow off her car."

So hope your spatulas and sprinklers are doing a good job of clearing your snow and you are able to enjoy it this weekend.
