Nicole's Dedication

Yesterday we dedicated Nicole to the Lord at our church. The highlight for Melissa and me is that her whole family came to the service. The service was very short, but so important to take some intentional time to pray for Nicole and for us to make the commitment to train her up in the way she should go. We chose Joshua 1:8 as a verse for her (which sets the bar pretty high- but by the Lord's grace we can do it). "This book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success."

Check out our photo site (link to the left) for a few more pictures.

We were also excited to share the service with 8 other families, one of which was Jay and Megan Miles dedicating there second daughter as well. My boss and his family (Mark , Megan's brother) was also at the service- well, not exactly- he was in the main sanctuary and missed the dedication service, but was there afterwards.

We had a fun and casual brunch back our our place afterward including all of Missy's family minus Matt and Stacie, but plus Tina and Joe. We had a ham, egg casseroles and a yogurt bar- which is my excuse to get in my favorite breakfast of vanilla yogurt, granola and fruit, but it worked out nicely and we had some good conversation and a great time hanging out in the sun filled house on a single digit day (it was 0.9 when we all got back here, but warmed up to 5.6 by the time people were leaving).

The Lord used the day to minister to us and it is our prayer that others were blessed as well.
